American Express is making a very positive change to the popular Gold Card on June 6th 2019. The card currently earns 4 Amex Membership Rewards points on dining purchases at U.S. restaurants and this benefit will now go global. So members will be able to earn 4x points per dollar spent at restaurants internationally, anywhere Amex is accepted.
American Express has sent out an email and mail offer inviting targeted charge card holders to enroll in their Extended Payment Option or Pay Over Time feature. For doing so cardholders can get a bonus of 10k MR points. The offer ends on 04/30/2019 and if you haven’t received an email or offer in the mail, you can try your luck to see if you have been targeted by clicking the link below and signing into your Amex account.
Over the past couple of weeks multiple leaks have hinted at something quite incredible happening to the American Express Gold Card. First we had cardholders see 4x point earning rates on US restaurants and supermarkets show up in their accounts, and then after a couple of hours these rates disappeared (to be honest I think they did this on purpose to get people talking). Then we had leaked card images of the new metal cards, with a new rose gold variety, and many leakes about the revamped benefits of the card, supposedly being launched October 4th.
