New Capital One Rewards: Earn 5%/5x on UberEats--TheCreditShifu.com

Following Chase and Amex who have added food delivery, streaming and grocery shopping as temporary bonus categories, Capital One is adding similar new temporary benefits for its cardholders. Capital One Savor and Venture cardholders will now earn 5%/5x respectively on their UberEats purchases.

To help cardmembers maximize spending and redemption options while traveling is still out of reach for most Americans, Capital One added the ability to redeem miles at a fixed value for a list of non-travel purchases back in April. UberEats is now on this list as well, enabling select Capital One cardholders to earn bonus rewards on their UberEats orders, and then use these rewards to offset the cost of the food delivery purchase.

Cardholders can earn unlimited 5%/5x on UberEats starting tomorrow, July 14. This limited time offer will run through the end of Jan. 2021. The longest period for a limited time offer we’ve seen so far. All Venture and Savor cardmembers will be automatically eligible to earn bonus rewards on UberEats purchases.

There is no limit to how much you can earn with this promotion as long as you pay for your UberEats order with an eligible Capital One credit card. Purchases paid for with any third-party payment accounts, including PayPal, Apple Pay, and Android Pay don’t qualify.

Ordering delivery from a local eatery or restaurant is a great way to support your local community at the time when these businesses are navigating a challenging road to recovery and trying to rehire their staff.

Capital One is committed to supporting small businesses through this extraordinarily difficult time,” said Jenn Flynn, Head of Small Business Bank, Capital One. We admire the resilience small business owners have shown and we stand by, ready to serve.

Employing nearly half of the United States’ private workforce, small businesses are critical drivers of job growth. It’s heartening to see credit card issuers creating new tools to support small businesses as well as reward cardholders for making purchases at these establishments.
