Chase Sapphire New Perks--TheCreditShifu.com

“The content on this page is accurate as of the posting date; however, some of the offers mentioned may have expired.”

Building up on the previously announced perks – the Pay Yourself Back feature and bonus points for paying your bills – Chase rolls out new benefits for Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers. Starting tomorrow and through September 30th, Chase is adding gas, streaming, and Instacart as bonus categories to the Sapphire cards. No activation required.

Gas Stations

  • 5x on Sapphire Reserve
  • 3x on Sapphire Preferred

on up to $1,500 in spend across the entire three months period.

Select Streaming Services

  • 10x on Sapphire Reserve
  • 5x on Sapphire Preferred

on up to $1,500 in spending across the three-month promotional period.

Qualified streaming services:

Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Netflix, Sling, Vudu, FuboTV, Apple Music, SiriusXM, Pandora, Spotify, YouTube TV.

Instacart Grocery Delivery and Pickup

  • 5x on Sapphire Reserve
  • 3x on Sapphire Preferred

Limit $3,000 for the entire 3 month period.

Additional Instacart perks worth mentioning:

  • $50 statement credit for any new or renewing Annual Instacart Express membership; annual membership costs $99, so it’s like a $50 discount.
  • Three months free on the monthly Instacart plan: you’ll get a $9.99 credit to offset the $9.999 monthly cost, valid for 3 months.

In summary, the 10x points on streaming services is really impressive. Though, streaming isn’t that expensive to begin with and thus an average Chase cardmember won’t earn that much. 5x points on gas is great and if you’re Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmember you’re guaranteed to get a 7.5% return since the points have up to 1.5 cents per point value when spent for travel. The free 3 months on Instacart is a good opportunity to give the service a try.
